Privacy.
Heymile is a page for your milestones and links. Here is what we keep to run it, where it lives, and how to make it go away.
The short version
- No ads, and we never sell or rent your data.
- We count views and clicks on your page, not the people behind them.
- Everything is stored in the EU, in Frankfurt.
- Delete your account and your page goes with it, right away.
What we keep
- Your email address. It's how you sign in: we email you a one-time link instead of asking for a password. If you choose to continue with Google instead, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us.
- What you put on your page: your name, username, bio, avatar, social links, links, milestones, goals and projects. Your page is public, so all of it can be seen by anyone, except milestones you hide.
- Your avatar, stored in our own database, not on an outside image service.
- Your sign-in sessions. Each one keeps the IP address and browser it was started from.
- A few account details: your plan, when you joined, the kind of page you told us you're making during setup, and whether you asked to hear about Pro.
When you add a link, our server opens it once to read the page's title, so your button has a name. That request says it's from Heymile and carries nothing about you.
Views and clicks
When someone opens your page, we record a view: which page, when, and the site they came from. When they tap one of your links, we record a click the same way. That is all your Insights are made of.
We don't store visitors' IP addresses with these counts, give them an ID, or set cookies on them. So a visit isn't counted twice, their browser notes in that tab that it has already counted your page; the note never leaves their device.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare runs Heymile on Cloudflare Workers and sends our sign-in emails. Like any host, it sees IP addresses in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Supabase hosts our Postgres database in Frankfurt, Germany. Everything in this policy is stored there.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
That's the whole list. No ad networks, no data brokers, no analytics companies.
Reporting a page
Every page has a Report link at the bottom. A report keeps the page, the reason, the details you write and, if you leave it, your email address, so we can look into it and write back. The page's owner never sees who reported them.
Deleting your account
Everything stays while your account exists. To delete it, open Settings → Delete account in your editor and type your username. Your page, links, milestones, goals, avatar, views and clicks, and sign-in sessions are deleted at once, and your username is free for someone else.
Two things we can't reach: cards and avatars already shared can stay in other sites' link previews and caches for a while, and copies other people made are theirs. If you reserved a name on our waitlist before sign-ups opened, write to us and we'll remove that too.
Your rights
You can see and change almost everything we keep in your editor, and delete all of it in Settings. For anything else, such as a copy of your data, a correction or a question, write to hello@heymile.co.
If you're in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
When this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The rules for using Heymile are in the Terms.
